how you can help Volunteer Big Ben DART (Disaster Animal Response Team)* is looking for volunteers and the need will increase as the weeks go by and the media attention drops off. DART is currently arranging schedules for volunteers through November. People wanting to volunteer may contact either: * DART is a program of the Humane Society of the United States comprised solely of volunteers. When a disaster strikes, DART members move quickly to assess the damage and evaluate the impact on animals, and then provide the most appropriate support to the community. More news about DART and how the TLC Animal Services Center is helping. Donate TREATS will match funds donated to them for Hurricane Katrina animal relief up to $1000 and is looking for businesses willing to match the amount TREATS raises. The money we raise will be used to send supplies to affected areas.
